Mysłowice Combined Heat and Power Plant

As part of its investment strategy, Dalkia Polska Energia decarbonizes sources of heat. The Mysłowice Combined Heat and Power Plant is generating heat in a more and more ecological way.

The challenge: 

Dalkia Polska Energia decarbonizes its own sources of energy. The Mysłowice Combined Heat and Power Plant had to be modernized in order to operate more ecologically. Dalkia Polska Solutions accepted the challenge. 

The solution: 

A 6 MW gas boiler and two engines powered with natural gas, each generating heat (1.5 MWt) and electricity (1.5 MWe), were installed at the Mysłowice Combined Heat and Power Plant. 

 

The benefits: 

Coal consumption reduced by as much as 60%.

Environmental effect: reduction of CO2 emissions by approx. 12,000 tons per year.
