Photovoltaic farm operation & maintenance (O&M)

Photovoltaic (PV) farms operation is critical to ensure the efficiency, reliability and longevity of a solar energy system. A solid maintenance strategy helps you maximize energy production, minimize downtime and effectively protect your investment.

We offer comprehensive operation of PV farms, which includes both daily operational activities and advanced maintenance works.

Maintenance activities (Maintenance)

Our maintenance services cover two key areas:

1. Preventive Maintenance (Planned)

Performed regularly to avoid equipment failure. Includes:

  • Visual inspections: We check photovoltaic modules (for cracks, delaminations, discoloration), inverters (alarms, indicator lights), cables and connectors (corrosion, wear, rodent damage) and mounting structures (rust, loose screws).
  • Module cleaning: We remove dirt, dust, bird droppings and snow, adjusting the frequency of washing to the specific location of the farm.
  • Electrical and thermographic tests: We perform specialized insulation resistance tests and thermographic (IR) inspections to detect hidden faults (so-called hot spots).
  • Vegetation control: We ensure regular mowing of the grass around the installation.

2. Corrective Maintenance (Unscheduled)

This is emergency maintenance, activated in the event of faults or sudden drops in performance:

  • Quick repair and replacement: We efficiently replace damaged components (inverters, fuses, switches, modules, connectors) and repair faulty wiring.
  • Software updates: We maintain the latest firmware for inverters and monitoring systems.

Advanced hardware and performance analytics

To professionally diagnose and operate photovoltaic farms, our team uses top-class equipment: infrared thermographic cameras, insulation resistance testers and drones that allow for quick visual and thermal inspection of large-scale installations.

We constantly monitor the key performance metrics of your power plant. We analyze the performance factor (PR - the ratio of actual to theoretical performance), power utilization rate, downtime and average repair time. We also carefully maintain full technical documentation, calibration records of test equipment and warranty records.
