A well-thought-out structure, limiting the amount of content and materials embedded in the site and moving the site to an energy-efficient eco-server are the keys to reducing CO2 emissions.
We have reduced the number of websites of our companies from 3 to 1.
Thanks to the use of bichromy (limiting the number of colors to two), and thus abandoning the use of white color, the photos on the site have little weight therefore monitors use less energy to display them. The site is much "lighter" and more environmentally friendly.
We have reduced the number of images, videos and files embedded on the page. We've also compressed each element to take up as little space as possible

Dalkia has a history spanning more than 80 years. Get to know it!
Dalkia's history begins in the winter of 1937
The boilers at the Villiers-Saint-Denis (Aisne) hospital suddenly stopped working. Léon Dewailly, founder of Chauffage Service, immediately intervened. The repairs went so quickly and efficiently that the hospital director asked for a contract to operate and maintain the temperature-guaranteed system. We signed our first energy efficiency contract! Today, the hospital is still a customer of Dalkia.
In the '50s, multifamily housing is expanding rapidly, and with it the need for district heating. Chauffage Service is responding to it and starting to expand in France.
Established in 1860. Montenay, originally a fuel trader, signs its first contract to manage the boiler plant for the municipal buildings of the city of Tours.
It's time for collaboration and merger. Chauffage Service has merged with Compagnie Générale de Chauffe (CGC), an HVAC engineering firm.
CGC is launching operations in the United Kingdom and Belgium.
The energy crisis is raging, and new economic problems are emerging in Europe.
Montenay and Compagnie Générale de Chauffe face challenges. The way out of the crisis is to turn to geothermal energy, energy recovery and further expansion of district heat networks
Companies continue to innovate: improving heating plants, transmission systems, and energy delivery points.
In an effort to diversify the energy mix, Montenay and GSC have developed gas to replace fuel oil and coal. The companies are launching their first biomass boiler.
CGC is expanding its operations in Eastern Europe. It merges with Esys-Montenay to form the energy services division of Générale des Eaux (General Water Group). In response to challenges such as the greenhouse effect and rising primary energy costs, the company is proposing cogeneration and renewable energy. New energy services are emerging, such as industrial facilities management services.
In 1998, Générale des Eaux changes its name to Vivendi - while the energy services division adopts the name Dalkia.
Dalkia operates its energy services business within the Vivendi Environnement group.
In 2003, Vivendi Environnement is renamed Veolia Environnement. Électricité de France (EDF) is gradually acquiring a stake in the company.
The signing of the new agreement enables Dalkia to acquire companies from EDF's services division (notably Citélum), giving the company a new dimension on international markets and making it the leader in energy services in Europe within a few years.
On July 25, 2014, the EDF Group acquired 100% of Dalkia's business in France, which has since become a leading energy services business in France.
As part of its further development, the company started to expand overseas, primarily in the energy services markets of the UK, Poland, the US, and Russia.
In 2014, Dalkia established its subsidiary DK Energy Polska sp. z o.o. in Poland.
In 2015, it was joined by ZEC Katowice, now Dalkia Polska Energia S.A., an operator involved in the management, optimisation and development of district heat networks in the Silesian-Dąbrowa conurbation region.
In 2017, Dalkia completed its offer in Poland by acquiring Matex Controls, now Dalkia Polska Solutions sp. z o.o., a company specialised in providing energy efficiency in buildings and industrial facilities.
As of September 19, 2018, Dalkia group companies in Poland appear under one common brand, Dalkia Polska.
