Siniat

Design, build and finance a 2.6 MWe cogeneration unit.

France

The challenge

Siniat's Carpentras plant produces 30 million m2 of plasterboard per year, requiring continuous operation of the dehumidification system 24/7. Siniat wants to reduce production costs while maintaining the quality of the products produced and dehumidified at the plant.

Solution

Dalkia undertakes to design, build, and finance a 2.6 MWe cogeneration unit. The cogeneration unit for the technological needs of the dehumidification plant produces combined heat and power, which is sold to the network in accordance with the support mechanism for cogeneration. The technology used allows for direct use of flue gases in the dehumidification installation. The solution is covered by a 12-year warranty agreement. Optimization of system operation is possible through remote parameter reading at the Dalkia Energy Savings Centre (DESC) level.

Benefits

  • Implementation of innovative technology with high efficiency
  • Guaranteed savings on process heat and electricity costs for 12 years
  • Long-term perspective of stable operation of the power supply system for the plant
